DUMONT, N.J. — When Dumont's Zainab Illyas was 11, she baked a spongecake that came out of the oven looking like a frisbee.
So, she tried again. And again, and again... until she got it right. Eventually, her baking skills earned her accolades amongst her friends and now, she's the proud owner of Zai's Desserty on Depew Street.
"I have not only made my dream come true but also all my family's and friends' wishes come true," she said.
"I am looking forward to truly making a huge difference in the desserts and coffee world."
