The Jan. 8 storm could bring the first significant snowfall along the I-95 corridor, covering Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston, according to amateur Northeast Weather meteorologist Sam Ebby.

"It is still too uncertain to make any forecast calls on it just yet," said Ebby, whose Facebook pages has 22,000 followers.

"However, at this time I do find this threat significant enough to begin to monitoring very, very closely."

Meanwhile, on Weather NJ, Jonathan Carr, or “JC,” has his eye on the same patterns and is calling for a drop in temperature throughout the day Wednesday.

Depending on how weather patterns develop by Wednesday, he said, North Jersey could be looking at a light snowfall early Friday morning and/or a bigger snowfall late Saturday night into Sunday.
