FORT LEE, N.J. — It was nearly 60 degrees and sunny in Bergen County over the weekend, but you wouldn't know it walking through downtown Fort Lee Monday.

"This corridor is like a wind tunnel," Crossing Guard Debbie Cohen said, who was stationed at Main and Schloser streets.

According to AccuWeather, wind speeds settled at 20 miles per hour for the day, but Cohen said it felt more impacted by the gusts — "the worst of the year so far."

Some weather sites predict that winds will be slightly worse on Tuesday but the rest of the week will settle down.

Showers are expected on Thanksgiving Day but are should clear up for the rest of the week.
