It was the first year the New Jersey State Bar had its Mock Trial Courtroom Art program, for high-school students. Almeda was the gold-medal winner there, and she replicated her success at the national competition, as well.

A Tuesday Facebook post from the high school both congratulated Almeda and thanked her art teacher, Ms. Bettini, for her support as well.
