BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Bergenfield Mayor and Council will hold its annual reorganization meetings in Borough Hall on Friday, Jan. 1.

The 11 a.m. “sine die” meeting — close of business from the prior year — will be in the second floor Council Chambers.

Mayor Norman Schmelz will take the oath of office for a new 4-year term, and Councilmen Hernando Rivera and Thomas Lodato will be sworn in for new 3-year terms.

All officials will be sworn at the noon meeting, following their re-elections in the November general election.
