Search In Ho-Ho-Kus Ends For Man Who Threatened 'Suicide By Cop'

HO-HO-KUS, N.J. -- A search in Ho-Ho-Kus for a man who reportedly threatened "suicide by cop" was abandoned Friday afternoon.

New York City police notified local authorities that the man may have been in Ho-Ho-Kus, where his minivan was found.

A Bergen County Regional SWAT Team and county sheriff's K-9 unit were dispatched to Brookside Avenue in Ho-Ho-Kus, where the minivan was found. A search of the vehicle turned up nothing suspicious.

Brookside was temporarily closed between North Maple Avenue and Cliff Street before being reopened.
