Detective Robert Pezzillo and Officer Kelly Ricardo arrested 43-year-old Claude Moss after security detained him Monday night on charges of shoplifting $822.39 worth of food, health and beauty products and clothing, Detective Sgt. Anthony Fugnitti said.

Moss -- who has a criminal record stretching back more than a dozen years -- was again released on a court summons.

Last week, Moonachie police charged Moss with leaving the store without paying for six cases of Ensure worth $345. He was released on a summons that time, as well.

This was the fourth time in three months and the fifth time in five that police had arrested him.

Moss is still facing charges in connecton with the burglary of an Elmwood Park gift shop last December.

Officers in that case said they found a rear door pried open and several packs of Newport cigarettes missing. Surveillance video lead them straight to Moss, who was released from the Bergen County Jail on his own recognizance six days later.
