The first was at 4 p.m., when 31-year-old Matthew Clark of Dumont was taken into custody after officer reporting finding him carrying 40 bags of heroin after being stopped around 4 p.m. on East 53rd Street, Police Chief Michael Foligno said.
Clark was released on a summons on drug possession charges and issued a ticket for having drugs in a car, the chief said.
Also released without bail on possession charges were John Schiraldi, 24, and 20-year-old Matthew Danese, both of Bergenfield, who Foligno said were carrying 10 bags of heroin when they were stopped around 11:15 p.m. on East 55th Street.
