The victim told police she was the front counter of Hunan Express on North Washington Avenue when the robber came in just after 9:30 p.m., Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said.

“He pointed what appeared to be a black pistol and demanded all the money,” the captain said. “So she opened the register and gave [him] approximately $200.”

The robber than ran north on North Washington, he said.

The victim described him as light skinned, about 5-foot-6 with an average build and wearing a gray sweater, a brown Irish "Paddy cap" and a black face mask that covered his face from the cheeks down, Rabboh said.

The captain asked that anyone who might have seen something, or has information that could help the investigation call his detective bureau at (201) 387-4000, ext. 4011.
