BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Bergenfield police released surveillance images Tuesday in their search for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash that injured a 78-year-old woman in the other car.
Witnesses described the fleeing vehicle in last Thursday afternoon's crash at West Clinton Avenue and Melrose avenues as an "older model, blue/green Subaru hatchback, possibly an Outback," Capt. Mustafa Rabboh said Tuesday.
It had front driver's side damage, "as well as a flat, front driver’s side tire and a spare donut tire for the front passenger side tire," he said.
The River Edge driver of the vehicle that was struck was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that Rabboh said weren't life-threatening.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to call Bergenfield police: (201) 387-4000 x4011.
