UPDATE (March 21): A Bergenfield manshot his wife dead during an argument over the weekend and then killed himself, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal officially confirmed Monday night. Two guns were found, he said.

Morris shot Torres dead in an upstairs room of the house across from Bergenfield High School before turning the gun on himself in a basement utility room, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir Grewal confirmed Sunday.

Morris, whom Grewal referred to as the deceased suspect, and Torres, whom he called the victim, had four children and a history of domestic issues, according to the prosecutor.

Borough police were called to the West Clinton Avenue home at 10:18 a.m. after the boy ran to a neighbor and told them "his parents weren't breathing," Grewal told Daily Voice.

The boy found both bodies, he said.
