A report of a suspicious car parked at the Nature Preserve Sunday night led to the arrest of 22-year-old Linda Giannone of Haledon on charges of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession, Capt. John Bakelaar said Tuesday.

Exactly 24 hours earlier, a Route 287 stop of a speeding car led to the arrest of 25-year-old Paul Johnson Jr. on marijuana possession charges, Bakelaar said.

The night before, another speeding stop on Route 208 produced the arrest of Christine Opperman, 36, of West Milford on heroin possession charges, as well as paraphernalia possession, the captain said. She also received summonses for speeding, reckless driving and having drugs in a vehicle, he said.

All were released pending court hearings.
