Timothy M. Toine, 68, Bergenfield Resident

BERGENFIELD, N.J. – Timothy M. Toine, of Bergenfield, died Friday, Jan. 8. He was 68.

He was born Aug. 8, 1947. He was a member of the Englewood Police Force for 17 years. A Vietnam veteran, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a security office employee for many years, as well as a skilled photographer. He was a member of the Bergenfield Knights of Columbus, St. Johns Cornerstone, a board member of the Bergenfield Swim Club, volunteered with Venture crew and Troop 139, was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and taught in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.

He was the husband of Michele McLaughlin; father of Timmy and Katie; brother of Sandy (Buzz) Buczyski and the late Patricia "Betty Lee”; brother-in-law of Charles (Maryann), Michael (Martine) McLaughlin and Frances Morrissey; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All will gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Tuesday for a funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Bergenfield at 10 a.m. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John's R.C. Church, 29 N. Washington Ave., Bergenfield NJ 07621.
