NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- John "Jack" White, of New Milford, died Tuesday, Aug. 30. He was 78.
Born in Manhattan, he was raised in the south Bronx, later moving to New Milford, where he would live for the last 35 years.
He was a member of Local 1199 working in construction and design for more than 25 years at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, boxing, fighting and spending time in the mountains of New York State.
White loved cooking and eating things he prepared.
He leaves behind his wife, Leslie (nee Flynn); and two daughters, Linda White and Diane Marcano and her husband Alex.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Thursday at Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Road, New Milford,.
