DUMONT, N.J. -- Joan V. Shea Mascarelli, of Dumont, died on Tuesday, Jan. 10. She was 80.
Born in New York City, "She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister," information from the funeral home noted. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Mary's, in Dumont.
She is survived by her children, Robert and his wife Eileen, Thomas and his fiancée Tracy, James and his wife Cathy, Laura Van Buren and her husband Ronald, Linda Ebenhack and her husband William, and Lisa Russo and her husband Richard.
Mascarelli is also survived by her grandchildren, Erin, Mark, Kevin, Kara, Kerrie, Tommy, Steven, Kayley, Amanda, Chrissy, Erica and Nicole; great-grandchildren Aiden, Lilli, Brady, J.J., Mason and Savannah Hope; and brother James Shea.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; son Richard; great-granddaughter Faith; siblings Rich, Mary, Ann, Phil, John and Robert; and parents Florence and Richard Shea.
A mass was offered on Saturday, Jan. 14, at St. Mary's. Cremation was private. The Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, in Dumont, assisted with arrangments.
