Jennie Giaquinto, 104, Longtime Dumont Resident

DUMONT, N.J. -- Jennie Giaquinto, of Dumont, died on Friday, Jan. 6. She was 104.

Born in New York City, Giaquinto moved to Dumont in 1959, "where she lived a healthy and independent life until her last days," information from the funeral home noted.

She was a little woman with a huge heart and her greatest joy in life was her family, (and) she was known lovingly as 'mission control' by them. She was the mother and grandmother everyone wished they had, was loved by all, and will be dearly missed.

Giaquinto is survived by her daughters, Lucille Ligouri Wing, Eleanor Tenore and her husband Louis, and Linda Roth; son-in-law Raymond Dohm; brother Peter Bianco and his wife Ann; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Al Giaquinto; daughter Mary Kiraly Dohm; granddaughters Cynthia Ligouri and Jane Kiraly; and several brothers and sisters.

All will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 233 So. Highwood Ave., in Glen Rock, for an 11 a.m. funeral service. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus. Riewerts Memorial Home, in Bergenfield, is assisting with arrangments.
