DUMONT, N.J. -- Elizabeth "Betty" (Schastey) Meyer, of Dumont, died on Saturday, Jan. 7. She was 73.
Born in Teaneck, Meyer was a secretary at Pascack Valley Hospital for the office of Security and then Radiology.
She is survived by her children, Richard Charles and his fiancée Lisa, Steven Edward and his wife Jaime, Joseph Michael and his wife Tricia, and Anthony Paul Meyer; grandchildren Steven, Derrick, Nicholas, Anna and Shayla; and siblings Charles, John Schastey, Nancy Kammeyer, Margaret Horton, Susan Santulli and Dorothy Cooke.
Meyer was predeceased by her husband, Herman; parents Gratia Ellen (Hendricks) and Charles Lincoln Schastey; and sisters Gratia Burke and Ann Doremus.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., in Dumont. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
