BERGENFIELD, N.J. – Edward D. Duke, a resident of Bergenfield, died Tuesday, June 21. He was 85.
He was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Englewood. He lived his entire life in Bergenfield, where he also worked as a Department of Public Works employee for almost 40 years. He was a member of the U.S. National Guard.
He is survived by his wife Marie; his son Frank DaCoasta and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren Jake and Ally DaCosta; twin brother Hedley DaCosta Jr.; and his sister Bernice DaCosta Miles; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Hedley and Greta DaCosta; brother Donald DaCosta; and sister Delores Bongiavanni.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corp or Bergenfield police in his memory would be appreciated.
