NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Dorothy, A. Fesen, of New Milford, died Aug. 31. She was 96.
She was born June 14, 1920, in the Bronx, N.Y. to Otto and Margaret Denzau.
She was a devoted homemaker until her children were adults and then worked in administrative positions at several corporations, notably Prentice-Hall in Englewood Cliffs.
She enjoyed reading and traveling with her sister and volunteering at various charitable organizations. She was a founding member and elder of New Milford Presbyterian Church, where she made many contributions to the congregation for more than 65 years.
She was the mother of John Christopher Fesen and his wife Patricia and Robert Fesen and his wife Cassandra; sister of the late Elizabeth; grandmother of Christopher and wife Mary and Brian; and great-grandmother of Jack, Isabella and Siena. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield. All will gather at 10 a.m. Tuesday for the funeral service at New Milford Presbyterian Church, 737 River Road, New Milford. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Hackensack.
