She leaves behind her husband, David Spill (Bogota native), and children, Aria, 6, and Colton, 2.

Family friend Andrew DeTerlizzi started a GoFundMe to help the family, which had amassed more than $4,500 as of Saturday night.

"I can’t begin to comprehend the pain their family is going through and all the questions he is asking himself trying to figure out if this actually happened or if this is just some sort of nightmare," he said.

"Crystal loved her kids so much and to think about them growing up without their mom is truly heart wrenching."

Born July 27, 1986 in Trinadad and Tobago, Crystal came to the United States as an infant when her family moved to Queens, New York.

They later settled in Bergenfield where Crystal attended high school. She went on to study at Long Island University and graduated from William Patterson University earning a BS in Chemistry.

She was employed by TKL Research in Fair Lawn as a Project Manager.

Crystal is survived by her parents Simon and Fazida (nee Ali) Walcott; beloved husband David Spill; daughter Aria Spill; son Colton Spill; sisters Leah and Tahira Walcott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John's the Evangelist at 12 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 20, followed by burial at George Washington Memorial in Paramus.
