DUMONT, N.J. -- Anni Volkert, of Dumont, died Aug. 13. She was 87.
She was born Nov. 14, 1928.
A graduate of Union Hill High School in Union City, she began her career as a fashion buyer for Wanamaker’s in New York City. After becoming a mother and raising her daughter, she returned to work at Scholastic Publications in Englewood Cliffs.
She will be missed by her daughter, Gale Cieplicki and her husband David; granddaughter, Ashley and her husband Phil; and granddaughter Kaity.
There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave, Dumont. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday.
