RAMSEY, N.J.— A Ramsey beekeeper and his wife were sent to the hospital with multiple stings after a hive was disturbed Saturday, NorthJersey.com reports.
The Ramsey Office of Emergency Management issued an advisory after the bees began swarming the neighborhood:
"A bee hive was accidentally disturbed in the area of Martis Ave and Elizabeth Ave.," Ramsey OEM wrote.
"The bees are aggressive and have dispersed throughout the area of Martis, Elizabeth, Rose, Refy, Armstrong and Maple."
