New Milford Fire Company Runs Scholarship Essay Contest

NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- New Milford Fire Co. No. 1 will award two scholarships -- one to a male, one to a female -- based on 500-word essays on how they've made a difference to life in New Milford.

In addition to race winners, scholarship essay contest winners will also be announced on race day.

The contest is open to New Milford residents who are either high-school seniors or currently in college. The deadline is June 10.

Find the application form here. The form and essay can be emailed to nmfd5k@yahoo.com or mailed to NMFD1 5K Race Scholarship, 249 Center St., New Milford, NJ 07646.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony of the New Milford Run 5K, on June 18. For more info on the race, click here.
