The 15-year-old chef was among three contestants to compete on the show's Sunday evening episode — a testament to his love for both food and Fieri.
The GGG aficionados stretched their dollars to the limit to make their best seafood dinner on a budget. Fieri is most well-known for his hit show, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
Bernath — who has also appeared on "Chopped" — recreated fish tacos with just $5, and was acclaimed by judges as the "culinary, kosher Batman."
"It was seriously the dream of a lifetime," said Bernath, a student at Frisch in Paramus.
" I am so grateful I had the opportunity to have this incredible experience."
