This award, given by the Board of Trustees, will recognize the contributions of the recipient, who must be nominated by an individual or group, and not a library trustee.

The nominee may be an individual or a group (civic organization, scout troop or a not formally organized group that provides a service to the community).

Nominees must be or have been a Bergenfield resident or active in a Bergenfield based organization or a group active in the Bergenfield community. Non-residents or individuals no longer active may be nominated within two years.

There are no age qualifications, and posthumous nominations are accepted, also within two years.

Nominations for the award will be accepted until February 29, 2016, and the recipient will be announced at the March 10 meeting of the Board of Trustees. The winner will be formally presented at the Library’s “One Town, Many Stories” multicultural event March 20.
