The exhibit will be a trip down "Memory Lane" with a stop at nostalgia street, otherwise known as Washington Avenue, said a release.

Patrons have expressed regret over the passing of favorite stores which led to curating an exhibit devoted to past businesses and stores in Bergenfield.

While the idea is good, there is very little material available in the museum's archives to carry out the theme.

Contributions of photos of long-closed stores, or a treasured piece of clothing purchased locally, may be loaned for the exhibit.

Advertisements from earlier days, giveaways for public relations, even signed paper bags and newspaper ads would all add to the show, according to organizers.

The museum has two mannequins size 6 boy and size 10 girl which would be attractive dressed in clothing from the Florence Shop or other children's clothing shops. All loaned goods will be returned at the end of this exhibit.

Call Joanne for information and to drop off items at (201) 384-8400.
