PARAMUS, N.J. — A tiny dog that was tossed out the window of a car on the Bronx River Parkway and rescued by FDNY firefighters is making a strong recovery, thanks to the Oradell Animal Hospital.
Sydney, who was taken in my Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, was injured, bleeding and matted — unable to move without much pain. His teeth were rotten and nails were at least an inch long and curled under.
He was rushed to the vet and was found to have no obvious broken bones but was very painful with lacerations under the matts.
Despite it all, Sydney is affectionate, loving and will soon make a great family pet.
