Expensive Parvo Puppy Treatment Could Force Paramus Rescue To Fold

PARAMUS, N.J. — A Paramus animal rescue organization could be forced to shut down if it doesn't receive donations it needs to treat a group of puppies recently rescued and diagnosed with parvo.

Parvo, or canine parvovirus, is a highly contagious virus, and mortality can reach 91 percent in untreated cases.

Bonnies Animal Rescue Kingdom needs approximately $50,000 to help the boxer pups, currently being treated at the Oradell Animal Hospital.

The boxer puppies were rescued by  and were diagnosed on July 18.
