NEW MILFORD, N.J. — There’s about to be a party for New Milford neighborhoods — a party aimed at fighting crime, drugs and terrorism.

New Milford will be holding a block party on Memorial Field, directly behind Borough Hall from 7 to 10 p.m. on Aug. 2.

Residents in New Milford and across the U.S. are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police.
