NEW MILFORD, N.J. — Body Mind Systems Training Center in New Milford is starting a Tai Chi Push Hands Meetup good for all styles of tai chi and people of all experience levels.

The two-hour sessions usually take place the first and third Sunday of each month.

The next one starts 10:30 a.m. Sept. 25.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese system of gentle physical exercise that promotes health, fitness, and peace of mind. It is practiced worldwide.

Push Hands is a particular exercise involving two people that’s designed to neutralize aggression and cultivate calmness. It has been called a midground between meditation and the martial art of fighting.

Cost for a session is $10 per person.

The Body Mind Systems Training Center is at 211 Main St., New Milford.
