DUMONT, NJ — Families enjoyed faceprinting, refreshments and live entertainment at the first Family Fun Day held by the Dumont Elks Lodge 2593.

Kamal Simmons entertained the crowd as Clumsy the Clown by making balloon creations. Music was provided by the Jam Straight Band. The Elks also held a raffle.

“The Elks donate a lot for the Boys and Girl Scouts, so we’re here to give back,” said Ann Bischer, whose niece, Jaclyn Dore, also attended.

Started in 1979, the Dumont Elks are a part of a larger national non-profit organization with over one million members. They support college scholarships, grants, and events for veterans and those living with disabilities.

“It’s for the families,” said member Lou Magnifico.
