The six-day long event will begin with a Halloween Day kickoff and continue with the Bergenfield Food Crawl through the fifth. The Halloween kickoff will include multiple family activities, prizes, and ongoing entertainment.

Trunk or Treating will begin at 4 p.m. Participants are encouraged to be imaginative in their car decorations, as prizes will be given to the most creative.

Street closures and vehicle entry into the event will initiate at 3 p.m.

The Halloween parade, led by the Bergenfield High School Marching Band, will begin at 5 p.m. at Clinton Avenue and move toward Main Street.

Trophies for best costumes in the parade will be awarded by the Bergenfield High School cheerleaders.

Entertainment for the entirety of the Halloween day festival will include face painters, balloon artists, a magician, DJ and stilt walker.

The Bergenfield Food Crawl will highlight the restaurants and businesses of Bergenfield in a promotional guide, the “Bergenfield Food Crawl Passport,” full of $5 specials and discounts from local restaurants and businesses.

Patrons will have the opportunity to utilize any of the promotions in their passport and receive a stamp throughout the six-day event.

The booklet will also have space to note your food experiences and a tear-out page to mail in the results of your stamp collection. The more stamps you collect in your guide, the more chances you have to win prizes.
