BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- The sparkling beads come in all colors and shapes and turn into everything from necklaces to earrings at the hands of crafters at Beads by Blanche in Bergenfield.
But it doesn't take an expert to make beautiful things come alive from the beads. It just takes a little instruction from pros at the store during one of two jewelry-making workshops scheduled for September.
The first workshop will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday , Sept. 10, and will feature a night music cuff with Betty Stephan as the instructor.
The second class will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 and will feature an English garden necklace with Betty Stephan as the instructor.
Cost for both classes is $190.
The store, 106 N. Washington Ave., carries a large range of beads and accessories, from 3,000-plus colors and sizes of Japanese seed beads to glass, crystal, gemstones and lampwork beads.
