If so, a new Nordstrom's store called Nordstrom Local will offer just that with one caveat, the small 3,000-square-foot store doesn't have any inventory to purchase.
The first store, which opened in West Hollywood, Calif., is a testing ground for the conglomerate, which includes only dressing rooms for shoppers to try on what's displayed, which can then be ordered online or picked-up in store after the items are pulled from Nordstrom's big-box stores.
Nordstrom's is branding the store as "a neighborhood hub for free personal styling, on-site alterations and a suite of Nordstrom services."
In addition to the very limited merchandise, the store offers personal stylists on site, a bar with coffee and juices, and a salon for shoppers to have their nails done. There's also on-site alterations and tailoring for the items you can't purchase at the store, but can bring back later as well as a curbside pick-up for items you've ordered.
“As the retail landscape continues to transform at an unprecedented pace, the one thing we know that remains constant is that customers continue to value great service, speed, and convenience,” said Shea Jensen, Nordstrom senior vice president of customer experience.
